Who is Fidel Vanegas

My complete name Fidel Angel Vanegas Patiño. I am a proud Mexican citizen who was born in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico. I am married with two kids.

I consider myself a software engineer after ten plus years of riding on a variety software development activities around financial and electronic business. From Information technology to research and development lab I have been enjoying automating processes and solving problems by applying computer science and related technologies. I am actually currently performing a system engineering role which is more related to hardware development but I have found that several of the best practices I have been developing and learning during my short working experience still applies.

Currently not living in Mexico since the company I am working for has transferred me and my family to a US facility in Vancouver Washington. Now that I am closer to Portland metro area I will be able perhaps to meet some people from the famous open source community which is settle down in this wet lands.
